Our team
Serious training matters. So does having a clinician who listens closely, explains clearly, and treats you as a partner.
Our team brings adult and addiction psychiatry, integrative psychiatric care, and nursing support into one connected practice.
Your intake begins with a medical and psychiatric evaluation with Eric O’Connor. You can then continue care with Hamilton Gaiani, MD or Eric O’Connor, DNP, APRN, with consultation between clinicians when useful.

Adult & addiction psychiatrist · General psychiatric care
Double board-certified in adult psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, Dr. Gaiani provides broad psychiatric care with particular expertise in addiction, LGBTQIA+ affirming care, ADHD management, and trauma-related disorders.
He completed psychiatry residency and addiction-psychiatry fellowship training at Yale and serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor at Yale School of Medicine. His undergraduate degree in psychology is from Harvard University, and he earned his MD at the University of Miami.
Dr. Gaiani’s style is direct, collaborative, and deeply invested. He takes time to explain the clinical reasoning, invites questions, and builds plans around the person rather than a preset protocol. He also provides evaluations for physician-health programs and related programs supporting healthcare professionals who need fair, appropriate care and support while navigating mental-health or substance-use concerns.

Doctor of Nursing Practice · Integrative psychiatric care
Eric O’Connor brings a doctorate and a broad medical background to psychiatric care, exploring the mind–body connection as part of a thoughtful path toward wellness.
His clinical background spans primary care, emergency care, adult-gerontology, and psychiatric practice. As a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Eric O’Connor brings unusually broad medical training to adult psychiatric evaluation, medication care, and follow-up.
Eric O’Connor provides versatile adult psychiatric care, including addiction care, by telehealth across Connecticut. His approach considers sleep, medical conditions, medications, daily function, and the person living through the symptoms—not only a diagnosis.
